For over 50 years, Transportes Pesa, S.A. has accompanied everyday life in our country, travelling far and wide with the sole aim of providing citizens with a fast, economic and safe transport service. Over the years, increasingly large numbers of people have used our services, and we currently transport more than two and a half million passengers every year. By trusting in our company, these passengers have helped us to grow, prompting us to do even better by exploring new horizons.
Today Transportes Pesa S.A. has a fleet of 73 new vehicles adapted to the transport requirements of persons with reduced mobility, all equipped to provide comfortable and safe travel. The average age of our buses is no more than 4 years, making it one of the youngest fleets in the market. Faithful to our vocation of offering citizens the best possible guarantees as regards safety and comfort, at Transportes Pesa S.A. we have modern maintenance facilities complete with cutting-edge equipment to ensure that our entire fleet is always finely tuned and in perfect condition.
None of this would be possible without our team of 232 professionals, 184 men and women drivers, all rigorously trained by our company to ensure that those who choose to travel with us can fully appreciate the efficiency and security that make our services so special.
Transportes Pesa, S.A. holds the AENOR certificate in international standards UNE EN ISO 9001:2008 for quality of internal organisation; UNE EN 13816:2003, specifically for companies dedicated to transporting passengers by road; UNE EN ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management of the organisation with regard to staff awareness and training, and for the controlled generation and management of waste, and OHSAS 18001:2007, which regulates all occupational health and safety management systems, including aspects conducive to the safety of the people we carry.
Our satisfaction at having achieved these objectives doesn’t mean we’re not aware that we still have a long way to go. That’s why we continue working to introduce all those improvements that will in some way benefit not only those who use our services, but citizens in general and our environment. That’s the case with the ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) on board all the vehicles in our fleet for safer, more efficient and ecological driving; a modern on-bus payment system for faster boarding; vehicles adapted to the needs of persons with functional diversity, etc.
