Our Compromise

The Management of Transportes Pesa, S.A. hereby declares its pledge to establish and develop policies including equal treatment and opportunities for men and women, to promote actions focussed on true equality within our Organisation and to foster measures enabling shared responsibility in achieving balanced personal, family and working life.

In each and every one of the areas of activity developed by this company, from recruitment to wages policy, training, working conditions and work-life balance, Transportes Pesa, S.A. assumes the principle of equal opportunities between men and women, with particular attention to indirect discrimination, elimination of the gender gap and of the “glass ceiling”.

In regard to communication, both internal and external, the workforce is informed of all decisions taken, thereby portraying the image of an Organisation in line with the principle of equal opportunities for men and women.

Said principles are practically implemented by means of the equality measures established in the 1st Transportes Pesa, S.A. Plan on Equality (2013-2016), continued in the 2nd Transportes Pesa, S.A. Plan on Equality (2016-2020), on which the Organisation is currently working.

In this 2nd Plan on Equality, programmes are presented which group the different strategic and operational objectives, also monitoring actions to ensure their furtherance, achievement and implementation.

Given the activity of Transportes Pesa, S.A. and its visibility in providing the public transport of people on regular lines, among others this Organisation expresses its aim to become a driving force as a company dedicated to achieving equality between the men and women in its area and, by extension, in society as a whole.

To carry out these objectives, the Organisation has an Equality Team composed of representatives of the Company Management, of the Workers’ Committee and of the main internal Departments (Finances, Customer Services and Driving Staff).

Transportes Pesa, S.A. is recognised by Emakunde/Basque Institute for Women as a collaborating body in achieving equal opportunities for men and women.
